The Great Nanna James

Nanna James is 87 and lives on the Gold Coast.We were delighted to have her in our studio and rolled out the red carpet in her honour. She has 7 grandchildren and two of her precious great grand children asked their mum if they could have a photoshoot of their great nanna. Cute!

When nanna James came in we instantly felt like giving her a big hug and spending hours drinking cups of tea and hearing about her life..(She was born in 1924..Impressive!) But being that little Hunter and Heaven are only young and the window of opportunity to snap the perfect shot is small, it was straight down to business!!!

We also took some more images of the family and the four generations which is coming soon. Stay tuned, they are GORGEOUS.

At Bella Amante we cherish family and the traditions of where we come from enormously. Our great grandparents and grand grand parents are honourable peices in our lives that shape us and sometimes drive us crazy!!! Sometimes they are the best parts though and we like to celebrate it as much as we can. We often find that when you look back, the little things stay with you like music in your heart and make you a better person. (Especially when it comes to manners!)

When we asked nanna James what she loved most about being a nanna and great nanna she said "What's not to love". And we agree. Thank you for coming in for your photoshoot nanna James, the pleasure was all ours!

My Best Friends Wedding…

A modern fairytale with a happy ending always gets my heart racing, especially when the client is my bestie.

Working in the wedding industry is tear jerking enough with strangers let alone being a bridesmaid for your best friend, make up artist and your photography company looking after the imagery.

I have often been known at other people’s weddings – (mostly strangers) to walk away and have a sneaky tear, but the joy and happiness I felt for my friend being a part of it in so many ways was overwhelming, lovely and just a little sad that our days of sitting on the fence together were over.

Good-bye to our hours of analysing text messages over two bottles of wine in my apartment.

Sayonara to dragging her from playing ‘With or with out You’ on repeat after another break up with a not quite suitable bachelor.

Farewell to my role as captain ‘pretend there is an emergency’ to get her out of a bad date. Thank God!

And phew! Hello to the man of her dreams and happily ever after…

Yvette and Liam met on My Space, Don’t laugh – you are probably Facebook stalking on minimise as your reading this! For their first date, I was on duty for the “ole emergency phone call” only to receive a call from Yvette at first sight of Liam saying “I wont be needing you.”

And the rest, my friends, is the romantic story in the usual fashion – blossoming love, baby making and OO LA LAH - the little blue box!

Please enjoy some imagery of what Yvette describes her 'ultra fairytale' showcasing her Vera, dancing the night away at a picturesque venue and to add icing to the already scrumptious cake, the announcement of little baby William on the way.
